Chat replaces the game's chat log with one that works like WoW's chat with Prat on top. It takes the game chat's place with your tabs and position, and the game's own chat comes back the moment you turn it off.

Tabs

  • Each tab has its own channel filters. Whispers can get a tab each
  • A tab either sticks to the channel you last typed in, always returns to its own, or follows the last line that came in
  • Tab and Shift+Tab switch tabs from an empty input box
  • Tabs pulse when something new lands in them, whisper tabs in their own colour, and a line read in one tab counts as read everywhere

Reading and typing

  • Your own input box, placed wherever you like
  • Rules: patterns that recolour a line, play a sound or pop a mention on screen. Your name, your static's nicknames, a loot word, whatever you want to not miss
  • Find in the log, copy a tab's lines out, timestamps from the right click menu
  • Job colours on names, cross world names kept whole, item links open the game's own tooltip, map links and auto translate work as in the game chat
  • Key binds named from your keyboard, and they stay out of the way in cutscenes and gpose

Looks

Colours follow the shared theme, so the chat matches the rest of your UI. A Naowh style look is included and lands bottom left as it does in WoW. Font sizes stand off the theme's text size, so a bigger theme gives a bigger chat.

The boring part that matters

If any part of it stops after an error, the game's chat shows until Chat recovers by itself, and it fills in the lines from the gap. You don't lose chat.

Settings are per character, job or role, and you can share them as text.
